Aruna is een b-girl uit Rotterdam, een stad die bekend staat om zijn rijke b-boy cultuur. Ze begon met breakdancen in 1998 toen ze de leden van Freezone leerde kennen, later dat jaar werd ze opgenomen in deze crew. De meeste Freezone crewmembers zijn old school b-boys, en niet meer zo actief als vroeger. Aruna overbrugd de generatiekloof naar de jongere generatie met haar performances, battles en cyphers. Om verschillende hiphop generaties met elkaar in contact te brengen in Rotterdam, heeft ze samen met anderen het Hiphophuis opgericht. Een plek voor hiphop cultuur, workshops, events en battles.

Aruna is a b-girl from Rotterdam, a city in The Netherlands known for its rich b-boy culture. Aruna has been breaking since 1998 when she was introduced to the bboy scene by members of Freezone, the crew she joined later on. As most of the Freezone members are old school b-boys, they aren’t as active as they used to be. Aruna bridges the gap with the new generation in performances, battles and cyphers. By uniting different HipHop generations in Rotterdam, Aruna and her friends founded the HipHopHuis. A place for HipHop culture, workshops, events and battles.
